How It Works

It couldn’t be simpler to enter the competition, please read the simple instructions below to get started...

Register

Simply click the register link and complete the form. If you are under 18 years you must provide the details of your parent or guardian so they can verify your personal details. Once you have read the terms and conditions (competition rules) you are ready to submit the form. On submission, you will be sent an email that contains a link that you must click to verify your email address and identity. Only one competition account can be created per email address.

Note. For added privacy and security you can ‘hide your details’ – this makes you anonymous on the site, so no browser can see who you are or where you are from.

You’re Registered!

By clicking the email verification link you have activated your account. You can now start adding your pictures. You can add up to 10 pictures, so please ensure you only upload your best shots! (you can delete pictures too and upload new ones).

When uploading your pictures please ensure that they are full size images and are over 800 pixels to ensure that they can be viewed properly on the site. The website will automatically scale the images and create previews and thumbnails.

Simply locate the picture on your computer (jpegs only please!), complete the caption (eg. Sunset over Torbay) and select the Park where you were staying when you took the shot. (Note, Pictures do not necessarily have to be on the Park, local area shots are good too).

What we’re looking for:

Pictures of people having fun (make sure you have their permission to enter your pictures of them into the competition) Local area around the Park or places to visit from the Park Pictures on or around the park showing your Hoburne experience

Your Photos

Once your first picture has been submitted, you will be logged into your personal space (your photos) on the website. Here you can view your images and see how many votes or views you’ve had. You can also add the rest of your pictures. You don’t have to do it all at once, you can login later as many times as you like and view / add pictures when its convenient to you.

Approval

When you upload a photo to the competition website it is placed in a holding queue so we can approve it in accordance with the house rules of the competition. Normally within 24 hours we will accept (or reject) your picture, you will receive a notification by email (check your spam folder if it doesn’t arrive) and the picture will be displayed in the browse photos area of the website.

And that’s it! Simple.

Once you have signed up to our competition you will be able to vote on any of the images on the site, although please remember that the final decision regarding the winning images is down to Hoburne’s panel of judges.

Note. Images should be from 2010 only. Competition closes at midnight on 31st October 2010.
